It’s awesome!

On my Macbook Pro 13” it works fine! I recommend using it when you are enlarging pictures but it gets all pixalated! :D

Great Denoising App

This app does a very good job of denoting however it is a bit slow with large files.

Jeannot7 v1.2.5 · 10 years ago

The most impressive noise cleaning algorithm seen so far. But it is very slow. Preview procesing takes a lot of time, after that, saving takes much more time too. I mean, 24MP jpeg file saving process took 5 minutes?! If it works faster, it would be the number one!

It was worth a dollar to try, but the examples they give are a lie, but I already knew that. I have photoshop at work but not at home so I am already pretty spoilied and I know what professional software can do so I knew the examples show were fakes, the “After” picture is the original that they added noise to make it look like a “Before” image. But I software is my addiction and I don’t mind wasting a dollar because I find the occational Gem, but THIS is NOT. On the PLUS side, it does about as good as Photoshop so I guess it is fair to say it is a pro level tool.

As a photographer, I have always wanted an app like this for years which is why I’m so glad I found this. I got started with editing multiple photos shorty after I downloaded the app. The interface is easy to grasp and the live preview feature certainly helps. The photos I edited had really bad noise on them, but the noise reduction got rid of them incredibly well and I was able to export the final natural-looking images in all the formats I needed. Highly recommend!

I just bought this app on sale for 99 cents and at that price it’s definitely worth it. I don’t own Photoshop, but I do own Pixelmator. I compared Super Denoising to Pixelnator’s Soften Effect, which also reduces image noise. I worked on the same image in both Pixelmator and Super Denoising — and Super Denoising did a better job. So I would highly recommend it while it’s on sale.

This app does a pretty good job, it was a couple dollars for twodollar Tuesday and so I thought I would try it. The examples they show I think must be fake or super high resolution or something shrunk down. It shows hair strands that are not even there in the original and other micro details it must make up to do it’s work. I tried with the pictures they give as examples with good results just not nearly as great. Anyway I will be using with several pictures on iPad 2 especially in low light. Thanks for the great app at a great price.

Doesn’t do what it claims

Tried decreasing the noise in a low light photo. Absolutely useless. Waste of $2.

SinCityGuy · 10 years ago

The Sharpness, Radius and Intensity controls are white type. This type is superimposed in the lower right corner of the image. If the image is white in that area you will not see or be able to adjust them well. No option save changes when closing the app. All in all not a bad utility. Thanks ... Ken

Holy crap

this is entirely awesome!!!

Didn’t know what degree of performance to expect from an app I got for free during a promotion, but WOW. I had to clean up a couple of horribly noisy photos for a blog I’m working on, and with my mediocre Photoshop skills, I figured I’d give this app a go. It was simple to use, powerful, and it took all of a minute for each photo to get entirely impressive results from very lousy source photos. Well done!

At $1, I definitely suggest trying this app. I recently tried to remove the noise from an image using Noiseless (by Macphun), photoshop, and Lightroom. Using Super Denoise on the same picture… I’m frankly amazed. Some detail is lost and for some reason the shirt collar got blured a lot. Aside from that, it gave me a result I was unable to acheive with Noiseless, Lightroom, or Photoshop. I’ve only tested this app on one photo, but I have high hopes that I’ve finally found an app that can remove noise from a photo.

I am not a professional photographer. I do take pictures that I send to family & friends. I like them to look nice. This app works well for that purpose. Would I recommend to a friend, Yes I would.

sawdustcowboy · 10 years ago

I normally digitize my photos from 35mm film and in the digitizing/scanning process, they lose a lot of detail, clarity, etc. Often they come out with increased blurring and noise. I downloaded this app and was totally AMAZED how it transformed useless images into keepers. Even if you process a few images per year, spend the $.99 and download this app. You will use it more than you think!

I would easily give this a simple 5 stars, but the only thing holding me back is that I cannnot drag and drop a file onto the Application Icon to start the program. If that “teardrop” function was present I would give the application 5 stars.

Great toll

App provides several levels of Noise reduction and sharpness with little effort. Being able to select the level of noise reduction offers min to extreme while you view the correction. I would like the app to be an external editor in Lightroom so my workflow can be more seamless but it is a stand alone application and therefore I just need to determine where in the post process workflow it is best to apply outside of Lightroom. Would I recommend it - Yes!

So glad to have found this app!

I just had to scan 100 old yrbook photos (1971) to put on nametags for a college reunion. In seconds i got a decent picture from a really crappy scanned one. I'm going to use this app on really old family photos. I' show the before and after if i could attach a photo.

terrible

made my photos more noisy

Good denoiser at bargain price.

Bought this to replace Macphun’s Noiseless CK, which was another inexpensive denier that I lost when I replaced hard drives. (AlsopMacphun was bought by Skylum, which seems not to support Noiseless any more.) This is very similar, so I am happy with it, esp at very low price. Two suggestions: 1) speed it up a little, if possible; 2) add jpeg number to title bar so we can see what image is processing. Thanks for saving my nocturnes!

The saved file looks different than the app window

It seems to work well within the app with a lot of flexibility, but... when I save the file, the noise level is much higher than the displayed window in the app. It doesn't appear to completely save the work you've done, just a % of it.

WOW!

All I can say is wow! I Can crank up the ISO on my cheap APS-C sensor and this app does an awesome job of removing noise while keeping the image sharp.

tndavidson · 6 years ago

What it doesn’t do

Doesn’t recognize Sony RAW files; Will not open a Photoshop PSD; Does not appear to support Photoshop as a plug-in. I just spent $20 for something that is completely worthless.

Best Noise Reduction

I’ve tried a lot of noise reduction software and this one gives the most balanced results.

Great noise reduction

It’s very simple and easy to use app that allows you to reduce noise on your photos. The app has all necessary tools to make quality of your photo much better. Definitely recommend it

Works Great … But One Simple Thing!

I would easily give this a simple 5 stars, but the only thing holding me back is that I cannnot drag and drop a file onto the Application Icon to start the program. If that “teardrop” function was present I would give the application 5 stars.
